TRUTH IN MEDICINE POSTING GUIDELINES FOR MEMBERS
Welcome to the Truth in Medicine Blog. Truth in Medicine is a health group with a very specific purpose. It is a membership only group and all messages posted by members are moderated. There are several reasons for this, the most important of which is your protection.
That protection includes the following guidelines:
- Excluding attorneys or pharmaceutical companies from being members who might use or misuse your posted information.
- Verifying the accuracy of the information that is being posted by members by researching the authors of published studies and articles.
- Verifying that you are given information to make your own decisions, not medical advice. No member should ever give another member medical advice.
- Messages posted are focused on the specific purpose of Truth in Medicine, to educate you about mesh, its complications and available treatments.
The purpose of Truth in Medicine Blog is to educate you so you will be able to make an informed decision about your medical care with a licensed medical professional. You have to make your own decisions. You are ultimately the one who benefits or suffers from those decisions.
All members of Truth in Medicine Blog are subject to removal from membership if the guidelines are not followed by the members or if there is abuse of other members or the moderator. Members will be given one warning. Members who do not adhere to the guidelines the second time will be permanently removed.
Each member is important to Truth in Medicine. Having these guidelines in place, again, protects you. That way we can all work together towards the shared goals of the Truth in Medicine Blog health group.
These guidelines may be modified at any time and you will be notified immediately of such changes.
